The Aristocats
Released in 1970, The Aristocats was Disney's last animated feature film to be approved by Walt Disney himself and the studio's first to be completed following his death. The 20th of Disney's animated features, The Aristocats was based on a story by Tom McGowan and Tom Rowe.
The film was re-released to theaters in 1980 and again in 1987. The two re-releases combined to produce box office revenues of over $55 million.

Plot Summary
Pampered cat Duchess and her three kittens, Toulouse, Berlioz, and Marie live in a luxurious mansion with kindly Adelaide Bonfamille. Upon discovering that the cats are the designated heirs to their elderly mistress' fortune, her greedy butler Edgar kidnaps the cats and drops them off a bridge. The cats' hopeless situation improves when they meet street-wise alley cat Thomas O'Malley, who introduces them to another side of their city before helping them find their way home to foil Edgar's evil plot.
