The Apartment Movie

The Apartment is a dramatic comedy about the life of an insurance statistician, C.C. "Bud" Baxter, who advances his career by making his Manhattan apartment available to company executives for their affairs.

The film was director Billy Wilder's follow-up to his box office success Some Like It Hot. The Apartment proved to be immensely popular as well, earning the Academy Award for Best Picture and being adapted into the Broadway musical Promises, Promises by Neil Simon, Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
