Conflicts With Guests

Terry Gross had a memorable clashes with three famous guests. Bill O'Reilly left an interview after Gross asked him what he felt were biased questions. Gross's interview with Lynne Cheney included inquiries about her daughter's sexuality and the Bush Administration's plans to ban gay marriage. During Gross's interview with KISS frontman Gene Simmons, the host called his response "obnoxious"¹ when he said, "If you want to welcome me with open arms, I'm afraid you're also going to have to welcome me with open legs."
