Leonsis's Filmanthropy
Since stepping down as Vice Chairman of AOL in 2006, Ted Leonsis has increased his activity in philanthropy. He has focused his philanthropic efforts on funding films, an activity he calls Filmathropy.3 His first filmanthropic role was as producer of the documentary film Nanking, which is based on the novel The Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang.
