Jason Calacanis (CEO of
Mahalo). The event will feature 50 startups demoing their product in the hopes of receiving the $50,000 cash prize.

The DemoPit:
In addition to the 50 presenting startups many other companies participate in the DemoPit to showcase their product. One lucky startup from The DemoPit will also be allowed to present on stage with the other 50 companies.
TechCrunch40:
In 2007 40 startups participated in TechCrunch40 representing a wide range of products and services. Ultimately Mint.com (a website that helps organize your personal finances) was selected the winner and received the cash price. TechCrunch has reported that the 40 startups involved have now received over $143 million dollars in venture capital since the event.
