  • The walkthrough follows the path of the main storyline, providing the fastest way to beat each level. Feel free to explore the levels further to find goodies that could make the game even easier. Spoilers have been eliminated as much as possible, but they sometimes rear their heads when absolutely necessary.

Tips and Controls

  1. All of the controls for the game can be brought up by simply pressing the minus (-) button. This is the quickest way to view all of the controls.
  2. To pause, press the plus (+) button.
  3. If you get stuck, flipping normally helps you get out of a bind. Press A with Mario to flip.
  4. If flipping doesn't help you out, weigh your options and test Pixls that could help the situation. Use Pixls with the 1-button.
  5. If there's ever a huge gap between your current spot and your destination, Princess Peach's umbrella will normally get you across without any problems. Holding the 2-button to jump causes Peach to whip out her handy parasol when necessary.
  6. Bowser's double damage is very handy, especially in boss fights. A key combo is pairing Bowser with Thudley. Since they both do double damage, the combination of the two allows you to do quadruple damage.
  7. Additionally, Bowser's fire breath (activated by holding down on the d-pad) is a good way to keep your distance while doing double damage. Using Carrie, Bowser can breathe fire while jumping.
  8. Luigi's super jump is a great way to eliminate enemies from below. Luigi's unique ability also helps in getting over obstacles that flipping can't get you around.
  9. There are always several ways to do things in this game. If you find a quicker or better method than the one listed for a given moment, feel free to improvise and do your own thing if it works.

Super Paper Mario Walkthrough

  1. You will have to go through a bunch of text explaining the story before you can actually play.
  2. Have Mario follow Tippi to the elevator. Press up on the d-pad to use the elevator.
  3. Continue following Tippi to the right. Have Mario use another elevator to go up.
  4. Walk as far as possible to the left in order to hear Tippi speak. Walk up to the pillar and place the Pure Heart inside it.
  5. Proceed back to Merlon's house.
  6. Note : Tippi will point out a Save Block on the way. Use Save Blocks whenever you need to save your progress.
  7. Merlon will give you a Return pipe when you speak to him again. Walk over to the red door and go through it.

Chapter 1

Chapter 1-1 The Adventure Unfolds

  1. Move to the right and stomp your first Goomba. Hit all of the ? Blocks.
  2. Stomp another Goomba. Hit the last block to get a coin.
  3. Use the jump off the block and go around the blocked door.
  4. Go down the warp pipe across the gap. Open to treasure chest to obtain a Shroom Shake. Leave this area by heading back to the place where you entered.
  5. Stomp the Squiglet twice to knock it out. Go forward and save your progress at the Save Block.
  6. Enter the house that you see ahead.
  7. Active Tippi, who will find the secret door located in the center of the house. Go inside the door.
  8. Say "no" when Bestovius asks you for 10,000 coins. Reply with a "yes" when he offers to just take all of the coins you possess. You now have the ability to flip to 3-D by pressing the A button.
  9. Note: Your flip time is limited by the rainbow-colored bar. When the bar goes all the way down, your health will begin to decrease!
  10. Flip with Mario. Grab the Shroom Shake and Shell Shock items.
  11. Exit the house. Flip and hit 3 ? Blocks to get some goodies.
  12. Go down the steps. Flip for some extra coins.
  13. When you get to the blocked door, flip and go inside the blocks. Flip back to 2-D to enter.
  14. Head right and stomp a Koopa. Use his shell to defeat all of the other enemies ahead.
  15. Flip at the large warp pipe and locate the Goomba card. Pick up the card. Go past the pipe. Flip back to 2-D.
  16. There is a hidden Goomba in between the 2nd and 3rd pipes if you would like to stomp him to get extra experience.
  17. Get the ? Block and stomp the Goomba. Jump to the top of the upper blocks to get across the gap.
  18. Once on the other side, get another ? Block and flip to get 10 coins from the hidden block.
  19. Stomp 2 more Squiglets. Hit all of the ? Blocks.
  20. To cross this big gap, flip into 3-D and proceed to the left across the secret background hills.
  21. Take out another secret Goomba Flip back to 2-D and go across the brown blocks.
  22. Stomp another Squiglet and his purple counterpart (a Squig). Go to the end of the stage.
  23. Flip to 3-D, stomp a Squiglet, flip back to 2-D and go through the door.
  24. Head right and take out a Springy and his "offspring."
  25. Instead of jumping over this hill, flip to 3-D, grab the ? Block, and walk through it.
  26. Stomp another Squig, then a Squiglet. Flip to 3-D to stomp another Squiglet.
  27. Jump under the blocks to take out another Squiglet and you will get a ? Block.
  28. Flip to 3-D at the hill, and battle all of the Squiglets you want to. Move to the other side of the hill and flip back to 2-D.
  29. Take out another Springy and a Koopa. At the brown blocks, flip to seek and destroy another hidden Springy.
  30. Jump across the gap and enter the next door.
  31. The easy way to get past the Piranha Plant is to flip and go through the pipes.
  32. Use the ? Block to get a star. Use your newfound powers to charge through your enemies as far as you can!
  33. At the end, break the box to get the star, which ends the chapter.

Chapter 1-2 Afoot in the Hills

  1. Head forward and get the ? Blocks and take out a Koopa.
  2. Go forward and take out 2 Paratroopas Climb the brown hills while taking out another brown Koopa.
  3. When you get to the top, go into the red square to be transported.
  4. Flip to hit the blue button and flip back.
  5. Climb the new hills and use the transport squares.
  6. Flip to 3-D. Go back a bit to get a secret coin.
  7. Climb back up the hills and enter the red door.
  8. Jump over the gap and flip to get 4 ? Blocks. Use the blocks to climb up.
  9. Get 4 more ? Blocks. While on top of them, flip so that you can jump onto the brown blocks above.
  10. Flip back to 2-D and take out a brown Koopa and a Paratroopa. Take out another Paratroopa and cross the brown blocks.
  11. To avoid the spiky balls, flip to 3-D and climb the hill.
  12. Go through the red door.
  13. Go into the warp pipe. Head left and into the house on the backdrop.
  14. Go upstairs, flip, and talk to the red guy.
  15. Stand close to the red guy and flip back to 2-D.
  16. Leave the house and go back to the "front" of the level. There you will find a bridge that you must cross.
  17. Hit the Save Block if you want.
  18. Note: There is a store just past the Save Block if you would like to buy something.
  19. Hit the ? Block located just past the store to get a Mushroom.
  20. Flip when you get to some brown blocks. Go down the warp pipe, grab the coins and return up the warp pipe.
  21. Go into the house just past the brown blocks. Flip to 3-D to find a warp pipe and go down it.
  22. Flip and go behind all of the Thwomps. Now, go through the red door.
  23. Activate Tippi, who will find the hidden door, and enter that door.
  24. Open the chest to your right to get Thoreau.
  25. Tip: Thoreau is a pretty handy Pixl, as he allows you to pick up and throw various objects.
  26. Grab the block to the right using Thoreau with the 1-button. Head left and throw the block up at the blue ! Block.
  27. Exit the underground area using the same methods that you used to enter. Exit the house.
  28. Go into the next house and talk to the elder. Since you have Thoreau, he'll let you pass through the town.
  29. Go right and into a warp pipe. Go to the house in the backdrop and speak to Green to activate the bridge.
  30. Go across the bridge and get the star to finish the level.

Chapter 1-3 The Sands of Yold

  1. Go right until you get to a rock. Flip and stomp a Squiglet for some additional experience.
  2. Flip back to 2-D and fight four more Squiglets and a Squig.
  3. Flip and take out another Squiglet. Retrieve all of the ? Blocks. Use the super-speed to do as much as you can.
  4. Get the next ? Blocks and stomp on three more Squiglets.
  5. Tip: Watch out for Poison Mushrooms!
  6. Keep heading right until you cross the sand-river. Use Thoreau to grab the Bald Cleft and throw him into the sand-river.
  7. Climb to the top of the blocks and get the ? Blocks.
  8. When you get to the next rock, flip to take out two Squiglets and to get a Squig card.
  9. Hit the block under the Boomboxer to hurt her and knock her down. Stomp on her to take her out.
  10. To take out the purple thing, a Jawbus, you must flip to 3-D and sneak behind it. Flip back to 2-D to step on its ball.
  11. Go through the door at the end.
  12. Head right until you get to the pink thing; it's called a Cherbil. Step on it a few times to take it out.
  13. Stomp on the Goombas ahead. Flip at the pointy rock. Head right and off of that side of the level. When you reach the other side, flip back to 2-D.
  14. The pillar says to find the red palm tree and jump under it ten times.
  15. Head back to the other side of the level, doing any necessary flipping.
  16. Go to 3-D to get past the brown blocks and stomp three Goombas.
  17. As you cross the sandy rivers, there will be a rock on the second island. Flip and go behind it to get a Courage Shell.
  18. Take out the Boomboxer at the end of the level. Head all the way back to the left and go back through the red door.
  19. Head left until you get to the red tree and when you do, jump under it ten times.
  20. Go through the door that appears.
  21. Head right and take out the Squig. Jump onto the brown blocks and flip to take out a Squiglet.
  22. Use the spring to bounce to the ? Block on the left. Go through the transporter to the right.
  23. When you fall, stomp the Squig and Squiglet. Get the ? Blocks, but watch out for the Poison Mushroom!
  24. Flip at the huge sand river. Use the land bridge to cross it.
  25. Pass the brown blocks and use the spring to jump to the top of the other brown blocks. Stand on the stray block to the right and use Thoreau to hit the blue ! Button. Now go through the transporter.
  26. Get the ? Block. Flip and get on top of the brown block wall to the left. Here you must stomp on five Squiglets.
  27. Stomp a Squiglet and a Squig to your right. Continue to the right and jump onto the Save Block (use it if you want to).
  28. Flip and jump onto the brown blocks. Flip back to 2-D and cross the blocks to get to a warp pipe. Go down it.
  29. Get all of the ? Blocks in 2-D. Flip to 3-D to get more. Watch for the hidden multi-hit block in the middle! Now, exit the room.
  30. Fall down and head through the red door.

Miniboss: O'Chunks

  1. O'Chunks has 20 HP, and at this point, you should be able to inflict 2 damage points per jump.
  2. Keep your distance from him or he'll throw you causing 1 damage point each time.
  3. To take him out, use Thoreau to throw him. Jump on him while he's stunned. Do this 10 times and he's defeated.
  4. Exit the area via the red door.
  5. Head left and use the upward moving platforms to get to the red door. Go through it.
  6. Go left and read the pillar. Flip to 3-D to read it. Remember what it says. Proceed to the left (past the pillar) and flip to get some extra coinage. Exit the same way you entered.
  7. Fall down and head left in 3-D to take out three Goombas and to get a Ghost Mushroom.
  8. Head right and take out an Ice Cherbil. Keep going to the right to stomp on two Goombas.
  9. Use the spring and moving platforms to get to the door. Step inside.
  10. Get on the blue platform and press the "-" and "1" buttons to activate the next scene.
  11. Get the star and finish the level.

Chapter 1-4 Monster of the Ruins

  1. Head to the right and stomp a Squiglet. Head through the red door.
  2. Stomp the Buzzy Beetle. Pick up its shell with Thoreau. When another Buzzy Beetle falls from the ceiling, throw the shell at it.
  3. Let the next Buzzy Beetle walk into the sand-river.
  4. When the fire is out of the way, jump on the blocks it was attached to and hit the ? Block. Jump onto the top of the ? Block to get the item and to get away from the fire.
  5. Jump onto the brown block to the left and head up. In 2-D you can stomp a Squiglet. In 3-D, there is another Buzzy Beetle to take out.
  6. Go back to the other side using the other brown block. When the Buzzy Beetle falls from the sky, attack it and knock its shell into the Squig. Now step on the Squig to finish it off.
  7. Head right and down the ladder to find a chest. Once you attain its contents, head back to the area with the fire and right to find the red door. Step inside.
  8. Flip to 3-D and run to the very end of the area. Hit both of the Arrow Blocks and flip back to 2-D. Now go inside the door using the blocks.
  9. Head right and up the ladder to get to the chest containing the key. Now go back to the previous room and unlock the door.
  10. Use the Save Block to the left, head right, and knock a Buzzy Beetle into the sand.
  11. Go into the sand and jump quickly to get all of the ? Blocks. Take out the Squiglet while you do this.
  12. Head right, pass the Spiky Tromps and stomp a Squig. Now flip to 3-D, get the ? Block, and climb up it to the other door. Go inside.
  13. Go right and fall down into the lower area. When a Squiglet falls down, pick it up with Thoreau and throw it at the ! Block above you. Once you hit the button, stomp the Squiglet and exit the room.
  14. Head left (where the blocks were located). Jump onto the brown block on the side and use Thoreau to get the key. Use the key to unlock the door on the far right of the room.
  15. Go right and use Tippi to make the platform below the floating door appear. Go into the door.
  16. Head left past the fire until you get to the area with the key in the blocks. Flip to 3-D and go right (into the wall) to get the key.
  17. Before you leave this area, walk to the far right and flip to find a pathway to a secret area. Get the Buzzy Beetle card out of the chest and head back.
  18. Use the key that you found to unlock the door and return to the area from which you entered.
  19. There you will see a spring. Jump on the spring and go left. Once on the upper area, flip to 3-D and go up the ladder.
  20. Go right and hit the blue ! Button. Now head left and hit the red button to get rid of the Spiky Tromps. Fall where the Spiky Tromps fell and head into the newly accessible door.
  21. When you enter, flip and hit the red blocks in order by their numbers.
  22. Go up the stairs and hit the ? and Save Blocks. Head into the warp pipe.
  23. Head right and prepare for a fight...

Boss: Fracktail

  1. When Fracktail is flying about in the background, he'll eventually dive at you. Simply dodge him. Tippi will make a comment. Flip when Fracktail comes at you from the side. Once his head passes jump on his back.
  2. Head right and up his head. Use Thoreau to grab the Frackles. Throw the Frackles at the spinning green thing on Fracktail's head. After 3 hits, Fracktail will throw you off.
  3. Continue using the above strategy until Fracktail is defeated (it takes 9 hits to beat him).
  4. After you've beaten Fracktail, head into the red door and get the Pure Heart.

Chapters 1 and 2 Transition

  1. Head right with the Koopa and open the door.
  2. Head left with the Koopa and go through another door.
  3. Go left and enter the first door you come upon.
  4. At this point, run left as far as you can.
  5. Now that you're Mario again, head down the area to the left and into Merlon's house.
  6. Exit the house and go left to the second elevator. Once up the elevator, head left. Some talking occurs here.
  7. Head right and back down the elevator. Go left past Merlon's house and down an elevator.
  8. Head right to the building with the green roof and the sign with the pot on it. Speak with the chef. You'll need a Fire Burst here, if you don't have one, go to the store and buy one, though you likely already have one.
  9. Head back to the third floor where the Princess and Merlon are located.
  10. "Speak" with the Princess to give her the soup. Now a lot of talking occurs.
  11. When you exit the house, you'll be in control of Peach. Pause and switch to Mario.
  12. Now, you need to flip to 3-D and look for a locked gate (which can be found on the right). Use the key Merlon just gave you to open it.
  13. Once the gate is opened, flip to 3-D again and find the secret path to the right in this area. Go along the path and to the next offshoot area.
  14. Go right and down a warp pipe.
  15. Head left until you see a hole in the ground. Fall down it to find a secret area with 2 chests. Get the chests and use the spring to get back up.
  16. Jump over the gap and stomp a Squig, now jump over the pillar and take out another Squig.
  17. Flip next to the pillar (on the left side) and you'll see an arrow leading to a secret area. Flip back to 2-D and head right.
  18. Take out a Squig and a Squiglet. Proceed to the left. Flip, climb to the top of the pillar and flip back to 2-D.
  19. Change to Peach. Now you'll have to use the umbrella to go from platform to platform. To make Peach use her umbrella, simply continue to hold the 2-button after you jump.
  20. Once you get to the other side, place the Pure Heart in the pillar.
  21. Change your character back to Mario and return to the area where the chapter doors are located.
  22. Go through the orange door to begin Chapter 2.

Chapter 2

Chapter 2-1 Bogging to Merlee's

  1. Head right and take out 3 Koopas. Use one of their shells to take out the Spike Goomba.
  2. Jump up and get the ? Block. Fall down and flip. To the right you'll see some extra coinage. Grab the coins and flip back to 2-D.
  3. Jump on the grassy platform and switch to Peach. Use her umbrella to reach the other side.
  4. Get the ? Block and change back to Mario. Flip and take out a Squiglet.
  5. Get the blocks. Cross the islands, taking out the fish along the way.
  6. Stomp the Squig. Flip and hit the Arrow Blocks. Now jump to the top of the grassy platform.
  7. Switch to Peach and use her umbrella to float across the platforms to a warp pipe, taking out any Paratroopas on the way.
  8. Once down the warp pipe, stomp the 2 Squiglets and the Squig. Get the chest that appears and exit.
  9. Before going through the locked door with your new key, go back and take out any enemies you can for extra experience.
  10. Go through the locked door.
  11. Grab the ? Block. Head right and stomp out two Paragoombas.
  12. Going through the red door in the middle is unnecessary, so forget about it.
  13. Head all the way to the right, using your mini-Marios to take out any opposition.
  14. Jump on the warp pipe to get to the transporter and use it.
  15. Switch to Peach and float left until you get to the warp pipe on the far left side. Go down it.
  16. Run to the right for a little while and hit the blue ! Button that you find. Go all the way back to the far right side and into the red door.
  17. Switch to Mario and use the blocks to reach the ? Block above you. Get the star to turn into mega-Mario. Storm through the stage as far as possible.
  18. When you make it to the far right side, use the Save Block. Go through the red door.
  19. Get the ? Block. While slow motion is in effect, go across the top of the level and take out as many enemies as possible when you fall.
  20. Go down the warp pipe.
  21. Head left, jump, and you'll hit a hidden ! Button. Go down the warp pipe that appears.
  22. To take out the Growmebas in this room, you have to destroy the original. You'll be able to tell the difference in the original and its clones visually.
  23. Once you take out the Growmebas, open the chest.
  24. Note: Boomer is a useful Pixl in that he can blow up blocks that block paths. If you're ever in a situation where some blocks are in the way and you can't get around them, Boomer is likely the Pixl to use.
  25. Use Boomer on the crack to the right of the chest. Flip to enter the secret area. Grab the card. Head back to higher ground.
  26. Stomp the 2 Squigs to the right, then flip to get behind the Jawbus and take him out too by stepping on his ball. Go to the end in 3-D to take out a Squiglet.
  27. Back in 2-D, use Boomer to blow up the blocks that are in your way.
  28. Go inside the first door and take out 2 Spike Goombas, one in 2-D and one in 3-D. Exit the room.
  29. Go into the second door. To take out the Shlurp, just feed it a bomb. Exit the room.
  30. Enter door #3. Feed the Shlurp a bomb. Now flip to 3-D and place Boomer onto the blocks on the floor. Fall through the gap and get all of the coins in 3-D. Now fall down the other gap and exit the room.
  31. Check out door #4. Give the 2 Spike Goombas (1 in 2-D, 1 in 3-D). Drop Boomer onto the blocks on the floor. Go through the gap and hit the blue ! Button. Now exit the room by falling through the gap and going in the door.
  32. Door #5 is now here, so step inside and see if you're a lucky winner. Step on the Cherbil until he goes down, then head right.
  33. Take out another Cherbil, but before beating the level, flip to 3-D and fall down a secret hole.
  34. Take out the two bats, get the chest goodies, then exit the hole and get the star to beat the level.

Chapter 2-2 Tricks, Treats, Traps

  1. Flip and go left into a secret area to get some extra coinage, then leave the secret area and go left.
  2. Enter the mansion.
  3. Watch out for the Gnips. If you run into them you'll be kicked out of the mansion. Just flip and jump away from them to avoid them and head right.
  4. When you get to the curtain on the far right, flip to go through the door and into the next room.
  5. There is a Save Block to the left, feel free to hit it. Go right and speak to the maid. She directs you to the furthest room up the stairs.
  6. Use flips to get through the lasers. Just stand still when they pass by and they'll go right through you.
  7. Now you'll arrive at a safe, the code is: 41262816. Open the safe to get...wow exactly 1,000,000 rubees!
  8. Continue to the first floor and enter the door on the right. Talk to the lady at the counter and pay off your rubee debt.
  9. To get to the star, simply flip and use Slip to slip through the crack. Get the star to beat the level.

Chapter 2-4 The Basement Face-off

  1. Head down the stairs, then flip to 2-D and go behind the stairs to get a mushroom out of a secret ? Block.
  2. Hit the save block at the end of the room. Enter the door on the right.
  3. Get the first ? Block, but beware, as the ? Block on the right contains a Poison Mushroom.
  4. Go through the top door next.
  5. Get the ? Block, then flip and run around the Mister I several times until he explodes. Once he's destroyed, you need to head through the door found in the top right corner. #Head to the far left, then use flipping to turn all of the Arrow Blocks to 2-D mode. Now climb up the blocks and you'll find "Merlee". When she asks you to sign, just refuse over and over and then the real Mimi will appear.
  6. Mimi can't be hurt just yet, so make a run for it into the door on the right.
  7. Once in here, don't waste time; Mimi will pop in if you tarry. Use Slim to fall through the crack in the floor. Go through the door.
  8. Head right and flip to use the ? Blocks to get to the door in the upper right corner. Go inside the door.
  9. Go to the middle of the room (take out the Ice Cherbil if you would like) and use Boomer to blow through the crack in the wall. Grab the Shroom Shake inside, then, when you get back to the main room, head into the door in the upper left corner.
  10. Go to the upper right corner and use Boomer to blow a hole in the wall. Head inside and enter the door.
  11. Head left and flip to hit some Arrow Blocks, knocking them back to 2-D. Now, you need to head up to the door in the top left corner.
  12. An Atomic Boo is in the way, so lay Boomer, turn around, and then blow Boomer up to hurt the enormous apparition. Use Tippi to access the hidden staircase, then head up it and enter the door.
  13. Get the Super Shroom out of the ? Block, then save if you'd like. Now, it's time to head into the ladies' room.
  14. Open the fourth stall on the right to find the real Merlee.
  15. Now do a little game show and then you can fight...

Boss: Mimi

  1. When the fight begins, whip out Thoreau. When Mimi throws rubees onto the ground, pick them up and throw them back at her.
  2. They won't hurt at first, but later Merlee will come and make Mimi vulnerable.
  3. Once vulnerable, you can either jump on Mimi or just continue throwing rubees at her.
  4. Tip: Watch out for her rubee wave attack! To avoid it, simply jump and move away from the rubees.
  5. After a few stomps and/or rubees to the head, Mimi will be defeated.
  6. After you talk a little, you will receive another Pure Heart.

Chapters 2 and 3 Transition

  1. Now you're Luigi, so head right with your new "friends" and go through the door.
  2. Head left and down some stairs, then through another door.
  3. Go left and into another door.
  4. Go left for what seems like an eternity, until some talking occurs.
  5. Once in control of Mario, go left and down the elevator.
  6. Flip and go through the gate in the middle, then go down the secret path to the right like we did last time.
  7. Go right and down the warp pipe.
  8. Head all the way left, taking out two Squigs on the way. Use Boomer on the blocks that prevent you from entering the warp pipe. Now go down the warp pipe.
  9. Head right, taking out two of those Springy dudes on the way. When you hit the wall, use Slim to go through the crack while in 3-D.
  10. Now place the Pure Heart in the pillar.
  11. On the way back, go down the warp pipe you passed before.
  12. Go left and take out 2 Squiglets and a Squig, then jump up to the second block. Use Tippi to reveal a hidden block to the right of the one you're on, then jump over to said block. Keep finding more hidden block with Tippi until you reach the other side.
  13. Flip and head into the secret chamber with Mario.
  14. Hit the blue button to the right and fall to the area below.
  15. You will find that to your right is the Pit of 100 Trials and to your left is a Save Block and an elevator.
  16. Don't go to the Pit yet. For now, just use the elevator to exit this area.
  17. You can now head all the way right and down the water to another area where there is a secret seller, or you could head into the shop where you can flip and go to a neat little arcade. Go through the elevator to the right of the shop to continue.
  18. Head right until you reach the fountain. Use Boomer to blow through the crack in the wall nest to the fountain. All that you can access here now is the card shop, so feel free to do so.
  19. When you're ready, use the return pipe to get back to the tower, then head through the door to begin Chapter 3.

Chapter 3

Chapter 3-1 When Geeks Attack

  1. Go up to the bush and press up on the d-pad to locate a Pixl. Listen to his tips, then head right and be on your way.
  2. Hit the several blocks on the way until you get to a hill with a warp pipe going through it. Climb up and use one Koopa's shell to eliminate all of the Koopas on the lower levels of the hill.
  3. Go down the hill and head right. When you arrive at a large warp pipe, flip, hit the Arrow Block, then flip back and use the Arrow Block to climb to the top of the pipe. Now hit the block above you.
  4. Climb up the ladder that appeared and go into the door.
  5. Go left, stomp out the Springy, and use Boomer to take out the Piranha Plant.
  6. Go back right and hit the block to get a Star.
  7. Use Giant Mario to storm right, enter the door when you can.
  8. Uh oh...a giant Koopa! Run left and hit a ? Block to become Giant Mario again. Then, take out the Koopa with ease. Go way right now.
  9. Hit the blue ! Block, then read the sign to the left. It says (backwards): the red pipes fall in between. Now head left.
  10. Exit the area via the door with the blocks under it.
  11. In your new location, use the Spring guy to propel yourself up to the high warp pipe on the left. Enter the pipe to get to the next area. Get the Catch Card SP, then leave this are and go back through the red door.
  12. Fall to the right and save if you wish, then jump over the red pipes and head right.
  13. You will face a few wizards that you need to destroy along the way. When you get to the warp pipe, use it and head left in the backdrop.
  14. When you get to the first warp pipe, go down it.
  15. Get the chest, then take out the blue thing to exit (remember, take out the original to beat them all at once). Exit via the warp pipe that appears.
  16. Now head way left to get an Ice Storm, then go back to the far right and exit via the warp pipe.
  17. Go back left to the red pipe, and fall between them.
  18. Head through this very familiar dungeon, taking out all of the enemies you can along the way. Use the secret way and head up the platform just like back in the original Super Mario Bros., then head through the right pipe.
  19. Flip to grab the Magikoopa card and some coins. Exit the room.
  20. Now head through the center pipe.
  21. Go right until you reach a castle, where you will need to take out all of the easy Koopas there. Then continue going right.
  22. Use Boomer on the cannon on the next castle, then stomp out the Hammer Bro and keep going.
  23. Use Boomer on the red X on the main castle. Now you get to fight...

Miniboss: Bowser

  1. Don't try to jump on Bowser, or you'll take some damage.
  2. You will get burned if you get too close to Bowser. Therefore, you will need to wait until Bowser jumps and then use Boomer to blow him up.
  3. Once you've used Boomer about three times on him, Bowser will go down easily.
  4. Now he'll join your party.
  5. Note: Bowser is mega slow, but he's twice as strong as Mario. Press down to make him breathe fire.
  6. Head right and get the star to finish the level.

Chapter 3-2 Bloops Ahoy

  1. Go right and dodge the fish to get a ? Block containing a Mushroom. You will need to grab it.
  2. When you get to a set of bricks with a ? Block above them, get the ? Block and then flip to get some secret coinage behind the blocks.
  3. While still flipped, swim upward and go through a tunnel to get more coins.
  4. Stay to the upper right and remain flipped to get some more coins, then go back down to the bottom.
  5. Flip to dodge the enemies in the next tunnel you come to.
  6. Hit the Save Block to the left of the blocks containing the warp pipe. Then flip and go down the warp pipe.
  7. Dodge the big Blooper and the whirlpool and keep going right.
  8. Swim up in the next chamber to find a dry room with a warp pipe. Before going down the warp pipe, flip and get some goodies out of a secret chest. Now go down the pipe.
  9. Use Bowser and go right, taking out any Spike Goombas along the way with fire.
  10. Fall down into the water and then go right to find a door, take out the Bloopers along the way with some fire.
  11. Go into the door at the end of the tunnel.
  12. In this room, you have to use Bowser to burn up all of the enemies.
  13. Once all of the enemies are beaten, open the chest to get Thudley.
  14. Activate Thudley, who will hit the peg and allow you to exit the room.
  15. Head back into the main chamber.
  16. Go right, dodging whirlpools and the big Blooper tentacles on the way. When you reach the painting, remember it, then head all the way to the far left and exit the room.
  17. Flip with Mario and head back left to the pegs we saw earlier.
  18. Arrange them as the pictured instructed, then head through the door that appears.
  19. Go right and you'll have to fight some robotic fish as you go. Use Thudley from above to take them out. You'll only have to fight four before you reach...

Miniboss: Blooper

  1. This guy is extremely easy. His tentacles will shoot up and try to hit you, but dodging is easy if you just swim out of the way.
  2. Hit his red tentacle three times using Thudley to take him out for good.
  3. Go right and through a warp pipe, then go right again to get the star, thus ending the level.

Chapter 3-3 Up, Up, and a Tree

  1. Head right and begin ascending the tree by using the many platforms and blocks.
  2. When you get the slow flower by hitting the first ? Block, maximize your scores by moving up and taking out as many enemies as possible.
  3. When you get the fast flower, go up and flip to reveal some Arrow Blocks; hit 'em.
  4. When you flip back, use the arrow blocks to climb to the next branch/platform.
  5. Switch to Peach and use her umbrella to get to the platform to your right.
  6. Tip: I'd advise using Peach the rest of the way up, as her umbrella is very helpful if you need to get from point A to point B or if you fall.
  7. Climb up a few branches then use the umbrella again to the left this time to get to the next branch.
  8. Go up and to the right, stomping a Koopa on the way, then use Thudley to stomp a peg down.
  9. Continue climbing, using the umbrella when necessary, while stomping out the baddies along the way.
  10. When you are on the left side and see a Paratroopa to your left, taking him and go off the tree and to the left to reach a secret gold/yellow pipe. Go down it.
  11. Get the extra coins, then leave.
  12. Head left and climb up until you reach the door. Use Bowser's fire breath to get inside.
  13. Knock out the blue guy to the left, then go back right and up a moving platform.
  14. Enter the gold/yellow pipe to the left.
  15. Hit the Save Block, then go right and hit a ! Block. After you save, then head back through the gold pipe.
  16. Go up your new, pink platforms and stomp a flower enemy.
  17. Hit the ! Block, then head up the blue platform to the left. Here, use the moving platforms to head upwards.
  18. Do not hop off of the moving platform when you see an area above you with a flower enemy. Wait until you see an area with a peg to your right. Stomp the peg with Thudley and then head down the ladder that appears.
  19. Hit the ! Block, then climb back up the ladder and use the moving platform to reach the area with the flower enemy mentioned above.
  20. Go left and up the pink platforms once you beat the flower enemy. Here, beat yet another flower enemy, then head right and using the moving platform.
  21. Here, flip with Mario and head inside a concealed golden pipe.
  22. Here, use Slim to get through the spikes. Stop and go when needed to avoid being stabbed over and over. Hit the ! Block at the end to turn it blue again, then exit the room the same way in which you came.
  23. Use Boomer to hit the ! Block to make it pink again.
  24. Drop Boomer again and climb up the pink platform to your left immediately. You must make it to the top before Boomer explodes.
  25. Use the blue platform to reach the next set of moving platforms, then ascend to the golden pipe on the left of the second platform.
  26. Use Slim to get past the spikes, then use Boomer to hit the ! Block to turn it pink again. Exit via the way you entered.
  27. Use the abilities of Peach and her umbrella to float to the platform to the right. Climb up to the pink platform, then flip with Mario to climb up the area in 3-D.
  28. Use Thudley to get the ? Block, gaining much needed health, then hit the blue ! Block.
  29. Now fall all the way back down to the bottom and go through the first golden pipe you went into to get to the exit door. You may want to hit the save block first, then go inside the door.
  30. Now you have to fight...

Miniboss: Dimentio

  1. First off, you'll just have to dodge some magical spheres that Dimentio will hurl at you. He'll also try to trap you in a magic box, but these are easy to dodge if you simply run out of them. Jump on him when you get the chance and if you need help dodging the spheres, use Slim.
  2. Once he begins duplicating himself, go for the real one, as he's the only one that is damageable. When you discover the fake Dimentio just leave him alone.
  3. Tip: There are many ways to increase the damage you can do to Dimentio, specifically by using Bowser and/or Thudley. Keep in mind that by attempting to do double damage, you make yourself more vulnerable.
  4. Continue stomping on Dimentio's head and he'll go down fairly easily.
  5. Climb up the tree, avoid the Lakitu's and their ilk. You make use Bowser to flame the enemies if need be.
  6. Once you reach the top, ride the red wind to get to the warp pipe, then go down it.
  7. Flip here with Mario and head left for extra coinage, then you need to grab the star to end the level.

Chapter 3-4 The Battle of Fort Francis

  1. Head as far to the right as you can and flip to discover a secret warp pipe. Go down it.
  2. Whip out Thoreau and throw the red/white block at the ! Block to the upper right. A chest will appear. Open it to attain the Fort Key. Now exit this area.
  3. Use the key to gain access to Fort Francis and enter.
  4. Hit the Save Block, then go through the door on the right.
  5. Go to the far right of this room and enter the door.
  6. Go to the far right, then flip and climb the steps in 3-D.
  7. Ignore the big red robot and enter the door on the left.
  8. When you enter, stomp out all of the little blue robots, then use Thudley to bring down the two hanging doors. Enter the one on the left.
  9. Jump onto the barely-visible platform just above where you entered, then use Peach's umbrella to reach a similar platform on the left side of the room.
  10. Flip with Mario, climb the stairs, avoid the red robot, and enter the next door.
  11. Go to the far right and a flying robot-of-sorts will move onto the screen. Use Thoreau to pick it up and throw it at the ! Block.
  12. A bridge will appear after you hit the ! Block. Cross it, and enter the door on the far right.
  13. Speak to the robot, and answer true to all of its questions. When asked for a password, put 2828.
  14. Enter the door that appears.
  15. Use Thudley's ability to ground pound and jump on the robot's head to reach the chest. Here, you'll find a Fort Key. Once you have this key, return to the place where you found the Giant Cat Door.
  16. Insert the first key into the colossal door.
  17. Go back to the far left and into the first room of the fort. Flip, and behind the door you just stepped through, you'll see a secret warp pipe. Go down it.
  18. Go right, take out the little blue robots, then hit the Arrow Block. Flip to 3-D, climb the Arrow Block, and proceed.
  19. Hit the giant ! Block with Thudley to get a new Pixl, Carrie.
  20. Use Carrie to the left to cross the spikes, then exit the room via the pipe you entered.
  21. Go back into the second room and go through the door on the far right, just like before.
  22. Proceed back into the room where we knocked down the two hanging doors, and go through the one on the right this time.
  23. Use Carrie to cross the spikes, then enter the door on the far right of the room.
  24. Speak to the robot like before, but this time enter the code 2323.
  25. Gain access to the chest similarly to before and get another Fort Key. Go back to the room with the giant cat door and insert the key into the remaining slot.
  26. Use Peach to open the door, or else you'll get zapped by kitty lasers.
  27. Once you are inside, you will talk for a little while, then prepare to fight...

Boss: Francis

  1. This fight is pathetically simple. Two words: Bowser and fire. Just breathe fire all over the giant reptile when he appears and he goes down quickly.
  2. Seriously, the toughest part about this fight is just waiting for Francis to appear. Once he does appear, just burn him; rinse and repeat.
  3. If you do have trouble, just use your Pixls to end the fight faster. Boomer, Thudley, and Thoreau all work well here.

Chapters 3 and 4 Transition

  1. Optional: Go back to level 3-1 and speak to the Pixl you met earlier in the bushes and he'll join your team.
  2. Head back to 2nd floor of Flipside and go to the secret area to the far right of the screen after you flip (where we placed the last Pure Heart).
  3. Go left and you'll see some pegs in and above the ground. Read the side of the pegs in 3-D for directions, then use Thudley to get them in the right order. From left to right they should be: down, up, down, up, down.
  4. Place the Pure Heart in the pillar, then head through the green door and into chapter 4.
  5. Tip: Before heading into chapter 4, I'd advise that you restock in healing items.

Chapter 4

Chapter 4-1 Into Outer Space

  1. When you head into this level you'll immediately have to leave due to lack of air. Go talk to Merlon once you regain control of Mario.
  2. Merlon says we need to find the boy with the faux-space helmet, so head up to the 3rd floor.
  3. Speak to the boy and he'll want you to release his fish, Captain Gills, into some water. Now use the elevators and head down to B1 of Flipside, where you'll find some water to release the fish.
  4. Head back to the green door that takes you to chapter 4 so we can begin the level.
  5. Head towards the bottom right corner, where an SOS will be emanating from a sparkling area. Use Tippi to reveal a vessel.
  6. Interact with the vessel and you'll meet Squirps. Now do a little minigame and you'll go through a worm hole.
  7. On the other side of the hole, go to the far right of the screen. You will need to blast any enemies that get in the way. Then you will head into another wormhole (hit the Save Block if you'd like).
  8. Once inside, you should head towards the upper right and go inside yet another wormhole.
  9. Move way right and go into the next wormhole.
  10. Go right and flip behind a large asteroid to get a Catch Card SP.
  11. Now go to the far left corner and into a wormhole.
  12. Head right and find the secret wormhole behind a large asteroid, then go inside the wormhole.
  13. Now you're in the background, so head left and enter a warp pipe.
  14. Grab the extra coinage, then leave.
  15. Go back through the pipe and to the front of the level, then go right to find the star block. Finish the level.

Chapter 4-2 A Paper Emergency

  1. Go right and you'll find Squirps waiting by the port-a-potty. The occupant needs some paper, so now we have to go find some.
  2. Head right and up, using your high jumps to get atop two brown blocks to reach two ? Blocks.
  3. Continue to the right, jump onto the area just past the locked door and flip to find a trail of secret coins. Follow them into a pit, then climb out in 3-D.
  4. Fall to the right when you reach the statue, flip when you reach the bottom of the trench to find an Ultra Shroom Shake.
  5. Climb out of the trench and keep going right. Use Boomer to get rid of the blocks blocking the door, then step inside.
  6. Jump to the right, then use Slim to slip through a crack in the wall.
  7. Go past the green door and flip to find the path. Go across and get the ? Block along the way.
  8. Go inside the red door.
  9. Stomp the Hooligons along the way, and when you reach the green door, enter it.
  10. Use Tippi to locate the hidden coins block, then exit the house and go back through the red door.
  11. Head to the far right of the screen, flipping when necessary, and enter a red door.
  12. Fall down and hit the ? Blocks. The fourth block will give you a star. Then, you will need to crash through the level to the right as far as possible. Enter the red door when you reach it.
  13. Go right here, flip behind the pipe to get some space food, then go through the door above you.
  14. Speak to the elderly alien and he'll offer you a secret for 1,000 coins. Say no, and he'll offer it to you for 100 coins. Say no again and he'll offer it to you for 10 coins; accept the offer.
  15. Now head all the way back to the port-a-potty and give the occupant the paper.
  16. Turns out the guy in the port-a-potty was Fleep, the next Pixl.
  17. Head right, to the statue we saw earlier, and use Fleep on the crack above the statue to get the key.
  18. Go left to the locked door and open it up.
  19. Head right and get the star block to finish the level.

Chapter 4-3 The Gates of Space

  1. Head right, blasting any enemies that get in the way while weaving around obstacles, until you reach a red X. Use Fleep to flip the red X. Now place Squirps into the hole.
  2. Go through the door that appears.
  3. Head right until you reach another red X. Use Fleep again, but this time the door will have 2 holes. Don't put Squirps in yet, instead, head right and into the red wormhole.
  4. Go to the bottom left corner and enter the blue wormhole. Grab all the coins, then exit.
  5. You must go through the blue wormhole in the top right corner. Head right and into the convenience store. Buy some chocolate, then exit.
  6. Go back to the green door with the two holes.
  7. Place Squirp into one of the holes, then feed him some chocolate so he'll duplicate.
  8. Now the door appears, so head through it.
  9. Head right and get the star block to finish the level.

Chapter 4-4 The Mysterious Mr. L

  1. Head right and into the door.
  2. Head right and hit the ? Block, then take out all of the enemies you see. Continue right.
  3. Instead of going through the door in 2-D, flip and go through the other door above you in 3-D.
  4. Get the slow flower from the ? Block, then stomp out the enemy in the trench to the left. Now climb back up and use Peach to cross the gap with ease.
  5. Go through the door that's on the ground.
  6. Use Fleep on the Barribad, then stomp him out. Now grab the key from the chest and exit. Go back to the door we passed earlier in the second room and head inside it.
  7. Go right and take out the two Pigarithms. Flip when you get to the far right, then climb the stairs in 3-D.
  8. Take out a couple more Pigarithms, then head through the locked door with the key we attained earlier.
  9. Now that you're on the ceiling, go right and enter the door.
  10. Go up and enter the door.
  11. Once inside, you should go down and enter another door.
  12. Flip in this room and go through the warp pipe.
  13. Grab all of the coins then exit.
  14. Go back to the left wall the way you came, then go back down a bit. Use Peach's umbrella to cross the gap to go up the left wall. Go through the door at the top of the wall.
  15. Flip on the stairs to the right and fall down to the lower area.
  16. Hit the switch on the left to reverse gravity, now enter the door to the right.
  17. Kill the pig then use Peach to cross the gap.
  18. Flip here and enter the door you see.
  19. Go right and open the chest to get another key.
  20. Go all the way back to the room with the locked door. To do this: go back into the reversed gravity room and enter the door on the upper level to return to the left-hand wall, move down and access the door that flips us to the right wall. Go through it and you'll end up on the right this time. Go down and enter the door at the bottom. Look familiar?
  21. Use the key we just obtained to enter the locked door.
  22. Flip the gravity, then walk on the ceiling and find another gravity button; hit it.
  23. Use Tippi to find the hidden door, then enter it.
  24. Head right and take out the Hooligons, then hit the switch to flip the gravity.
  25. Go up and hit this switch two times; enter the door.
  26. Walk down the wall and enter the door.
  27. Get the ? Blocks (caution! the one in the middle contains a poison mushroom!), then go through the door.
  28. Go left on the ceiling and get the key out of the chest.
  29. Go back to the room with the switches that flip gravity.
  30. Hit the switches so that you end up on the ceiling. Once you are up there, then enter the left door.
  31. Hit the gravity reverse switch. If you would like to save, do so here. Then go through the locked door.
  32. Now some talking, and then you have to fight...

Boss: Mr. L

  1. Basically, you have to jump on Mr. L before he jumps on you.
  2. Use Boomer's exploding talents for a more safe fight if the need arises.
  3. Tip: Don't try to jump on Mr. L when he's attempting a super jump, you'll only get hurt in the process.

Boss: Brobot

  1. This is like something out of Space Invaders, so all you have to do is avoid his shots while hitting him with some of your own.
  2. Grab some of the power-up candy that's floating around to make this fight go by more quickly. The candies can either give you: a barrier, increased speed, stronger shots, or more/double shots.
  3. He goes down really easily, and this is a rather fun boss fight, so have fun with it.
  4. Go right and into the door to get the Pure Heart and to beat the chapter.


Chapters 4 and 5 Transition

  1. Head down to the first floor of Flipside.
  2. Head to the right until you get to the area in the wall that we blew up earlier with Boomer (it's to the left of a fountain). Flip and go behind the wall.
  3. Head left until you arrive between two houses. There is a window with a crack in it between the two houses; use Fleep to flip the cracked window.
  4. Hit the blue ! button that appears. Then flip and go into the secret area.
  5. Now you have to do a little minigame. You're goal here is to make all of the colored blocks light up. Once you've done this, the door will open.
  6. Flip in front of the door and proceed into the next area. Go through the door in this room.
  7. Flip and head into Flopside.
  8. Head left and then flip to find the path to the other part of town.
  9. Now you should go to the far right side and into the elevator.
  10. Go left and speak to the guy who looks like Merlon.
  11. Once you're done talking to Nolrem, go left and up the elevator.
  12. After you leave the elevator, go to your right and fall down. Now place the Pure Heart into the pillar.
  13. Use the Return Pipe to get back to the Flipside Tower, then go through the blue door to begin chapter 5.

Chapter 5

Chapter 5-1 Downtown of Crag

  1. Agree to help the Cragnons, then leave the house.
  2. Take out the two Floro Sapiens, then head to the far right and enter the door.
  3. Move to your right and use the warp pipe taking out enemies along the way.
  4. Feed Boomer to the Shlorps to defeat them. Then you just need to open the chest to get a card. Exit this area.
  5. Head right to catch up with the enemies. Hit the ? Block and get the flower for some extra coinage.
  6. Climb up the mountain and then fall down to the other side. Flip in this trench and get some goods from the secret chest, then climb back up the mountain. Use Peach to reach the next mountain.
  7. Fall down into the trench and you'll see three blocks. Hit them in this order: left, right, middle. A pipe appears; go down it.
  8. Because the Muths are strong (100HP), they may take a while to beat. Move to your left and flip to bypass the Muths if you have no desire to fight them.
  9. Once you get to the blocks, you can either fight the Muth or trick him to get him out of your way.
  10. Tip: If you want some extra experience, use Bowser's fire to corral all of the Muths to one side, then burn them all.
  11. To move on, you must hit the blocks that you see in the following order: Middle, Right, Left, Left, Right, Middle, Right, Left, Right, Right, Middle, Right, Right, Left, Middle, Middle, Left, Left, Left, Right, Left, Left, Left, Middle, Middle. Go down the pipe that appears.
  12. Head right when you appear in the backdrop, then go down another pipe to appear back in the foreground.
  13. Go right and hit the star block to finish the level.

Chapter 5-2 Pixls, Tablets, and Crag

  1. Head right and use Carrie to take out the spiky enemies.
  2. Stomp out the Squogs to defeat them. Once the coast is clear, fall down into the water.
  3. When you hit the bottom, open the chest and get the Water Tablet. Now swim back up and go through the red door.
  4. Go left, take out the enemy, then use Boomer to get those blocks out of your way.
  5. Hit the ! block, then climb the rocks and go through the door.
  6. Head right and use Fleep to flip the crack below the floating structures.
  7. Hit the ! button, the climb the rocks and view the TV.
  8. Continue right and take out two Rawbuses and the Tech Cursya.
  9. Flip and you'll see a lot of ? Blocks; hit them to get the goods.
  10. Just before you reach the first block, there is a secret path to the left side (in 3-D); go down the path.
  11. Go right in this next area and use Bowser to move the blackened fire. Get the Fire Tablet.
  12. Go back up and exit this area by the same way you entered.
  13. Since you've just returned from the left path, you now must go to the right.
  14. When you see a pipe floating up on some blocks, use Peach's umbrella to glide there from the adjacent rocks to the right. Go down the pipe.
  15. Go left on the backdrop and fall down into the volcano.
  16. Now you know what order you'll have to place the tablets later: stone, water, fire. Exit the volcano and then go back to the foreground.
  17. Go right a while and enter the red door.
  18. Now you'll have to fight "you know who" again...

Miniboss: O'Chunks 2

  1. Like the previous boss battles, this one is no less difficult. Simply jump on his head a few times and O'Chunks will go down with ease.
  2. Go right and, when you hit a vertical rock, flip to discover it's a Yoshi rock. Walk all the way around it and the Stone Tablet will appear.
  3. Go back left and exit this area.
  4. Go left and climb the very large assemblage of gray rocks. Once you get to the top, use Tippi to reveal a hidden block; hit it.
  5. Climb the ladder and flip to get to the top, where you'll have to place the tablets.
  6. Place the tablets in the correct order (stone, water, fire) and you'll get a new Pixl.
  7. Then, you must fall down to the giant block that was blocking your path. Hit the block with Cudge, then go down the pipe.
  8. Go down to the right and hit the star block to finish the stage.

Chapter 5-3 A Crag in the Dark

  1. Head right and jump on some blocks to reach a ? Block that contains a Super Mushroom.
  2. Continue to the right and speak to Flint Cragley.
  3. Go right and down the warp pipe.
  4. Fall down and head to the far right. Go down the shorter of the two warp pipes.
  5. Go right, taking out a slew of enemies along the way, until you pass the Putrid Piranha. Here, hit the blocks above the ? Blocks until you find the ladder; climb it.
  6. Get all of the extra coinage, then fall.
  7. Go back to where the ladder is located, then head left a bit to find a wooden door; enter it.
  8. There you will find a cart. Hop into the cart and go for a ride.
  9. Enter the pipe when you exit the cart.
  10. In 3-D, there are a bunch of Cragnons, but DO NOT KILL THEM! Exit this room.
  11. Jump back in the cart and ride it to the beginning. Now ride the cart back to the right side, butt his time, ride it in 3-D.
  12. Go inside the wooden door at the end of the ride.
  13. From here, you should use Peach's umbrella to glide to the right.
  14. Go right and then fall down. Speak to the crew member, then go left and fall down.
  15. Head right and take out two Floro Sapiens, then head back left and exit this room.
  16. Ride the cart back and go through the door to get back to the main level.
  17. Head right, past the Piranha plants, until you reach a large rock. Use Boomer to blow it up, then enter the door.
  18. Fill your wallet, then exit.
  19. Spring past the wall ahead, then use Cudge to move the giant block that's in your way. Enter the door.
  20. Ride the cart to the end, then enter the door.
  21. From the door, you should go to your right, take out a Floro Sapien, and then jump onto the blocks ahead.
  22. Continue walking until you get to a dead end. Then flip and use Boomer to get the blocks out of your way.
  23. Continue right, then jump to the upper area and speak to another crew member.
  24. Exit this area via the way you came and go all the way back to where Flint Cragley is located.
  25. Once Flint gives you the key, go back down the pipe and open the locked door found there.
  26. Ride the cart, then enter the door.
  27. Go right, flip, then use Cudge to get that giant block out of the way.
  28. Hit the ? Block to get a mega star, then crash through the level.
  29. Head back to find another hidden giant block. There, you should use Cudge to break the block and head through the door that appears. #Go right and get the star block to finish the level.

Chapter 5-4 The Menace of King Croacus

  1. Head left and take out the Putrid Piranha and the two Floro Sapiens. Fall all the way down and into the lower area.
  2. Go left and into a warp pipe.
  3. Fall down and to the right. Get the ? Block, then take out a Floro Sapien.
  4. Continue right and, when you reach a small indention in the floor, flip to fall down to a lower area.
  5. Use Thoreau to grab a Cragnon, then throw the Cragnon onto the large red button on the left side of the room. You can either throw another Cragnon onto the button or hop on yourself, but with two people aboard, the button will press down and a pipe will appear. Go down the pipe.
  6. Go left and into another pipe.
  7. Go right and kill the two Spania, then use Fleep to flip the skull on the wall. Now that you have the Cave Key, exit this room via the pipe you entered.
  8. Go through the pipe on the ceiling.
  9. Climb out of the hole by flipping, then go right and open the locked door with the Cave Key.
  10. Jump over or go around the wall, then, after some talking, you'll get Dottie.
  11. Use Dottie to shrink, then go through the tiny red door.
  12. Go left and up to exit this room via warp pipe.
  13. Go right and down the tiny pipe.
  14. Get all of the ? Blocks, then leave via the way you entered.
  15. Go back down the large pipe to the left, then go down and to the left to enter the door next to the Save Block.
  16. Go to the far left and shrink to go through the tiny path. Get the key card then head back into the larger part of the room.
  17. Use the Card Key to enter the door on the left.
  18. Get the Super Mushroom from the ? Block, then go left and enter the pipe.
  19. Use Thudley to hit the giant ! button in order to free the Cragnons.
  20. Head to the far left and open a chest to get a card, then go to the far right and enter the pipe.
  21. Now prepare to fight an old friend again...

Miniboss: O'Chunks 3

  1. Okay, O'Chunks is a bit more difficult, but nothing we can't handle. Use Thoreau to throw him around, then just jump on him.
  2. Tip: Using the Bowser + Thudley combo ends this fight rather quickly.
  3. Alternatively, Bowser's fire breath works well here also.
  4. Once O'Chunks falls, pick up the sprout and go through the pipe on the right.
  5. Go through the metal door, then go right and exit the Processing Center.
  6. Save if you wish, then go up and right to exit this area.
  7. Climb up and go down the path to the right. Enter the door at the end of the hall.
  8. Make sure you have your sprout on, then go through the scanner and enter the big door.
  9. Flip at each painting and use Boomer to blow a hole below each portrait.
  10. In each hole, you must press the ! button to change it to the appropriate color. From left to right, the ! buttons should be these colors: black, white, blue, red.
  11. Once all of the buttons are the correct color, a door appears. You can save in the fourth hole before entering. Enter the door.
  12. Prepare to fight...

Boss: King Croacus

  1. This can get very annoying if you don't watch yourself. You want to position your character on top of one of the little flower heads.
  2. Once the Croacus reveals himself, simply jump on his head. You could also use Thudley for double damage, or use Thoreau to grab him and throw him into one of the smaller flower heads.
  3. After a few hits, Croacus will shed his body.
  4. The battle really isn't much harder. Dodge the flying petals and wait until Croacus reveals himself, then jump on his head.
  5. After Croacus falls, you'll get the Pure Heart and finish the chapter.

Chapters 5 and 6 Transition

  1. Head down the elevator, where you'll then speak with Merlon.
  2. Travel back to Flopside.
  3. Once in Flopside, head left and flip. Go through the wall on the left and into the other part of Flopside.
  4. Go to the far right and into the up elevator.
  5. Once in front of Nolrem's house, flip and go left into the gated area.
  6. While flipped, go down the path off the left side of the screen similar to the one in Flipside.
  7. Go left and use Cudge to break the giant block, then head inside the pipe.
  8. Go right until you arrive at a sign between two pillars, flip here and go down the path off the screen and to the left.
  9. Use Dottie to shrink yourself. You must do this in order to go under the pillars blocking the path.
  10. Go left until you reach a big block. Use Cudge to break the block, then the heart pillar will appear.
  11. Place the Pure Heart into the pillar.
  12. Note: Before starting the next chapter, you may head to the second floor of Flopside, where you'll find a man who'll build a pipe from Flipside to Flopside for 300 coins.
  13. Head through the chapter 6 door when you're ready.

Chapter 6

Chapter 6-1 Sammer Guy Showdown

  1. Go right and into a door.
  2. Continue right until you are forced to fight the first Sammer Guy. Use Bowser to burn him and this fight ends quickly.
  3. Head right and into the door that you'll find. Then head right to fight the next Sammer Guy.
  4. Sammer Guy #2 is better at evading, but will easily go down when cornered. Step inside the next door to the right.
  5. Continue with this until you reach Sammer Guy #10. While he is bigger, Bowser's fire will, again, defeat him with ease.
  6. Tip: Using Carrie allows Bowser to breathe fire while jumping.
  7. Continue fighting the Sammer Guys, which should pose no problem since they are fairly easy to beat.
  8. Sammer Guy #20 is also a biggie, but fire should work here too.
  9. Head past Sammer Guys #21-25 and hit the star block to finish the stage.

Chapter 6-2 The End of a World

  1. Go right and open the chest. Now you are forced to fight...

Miniboss: Mimi

  1. This fight is challenging, so prepare yourself.
  2. Use Slim to avoid her rubees, and when you see on opening, switch to Thoreau and throw the rubees back at her.
  3. When her rubee shield is knocked off, you can use Bowser + Thudley to help end this fight a lot quicker.
  4. Sooner or later, Mimi will finally fall.
  5. Once Mimi is beaten, go right and enter the door.
  6. Bypass a bunch of Sammer Guys until a scene plays.
  7. Head back through the dark blue door.
  8. Go right for a long, long, long time.
  9. Now you'll have to fight...

Boss: Brobot L-Type

  1. Back to the easy boss fights, simply use Boomer to blow up Brobot's feet and he'll go down in a few hits.

Chapters 6 and 7 Transition

  1. Head to Merlon's house and speak with him.
  2. Once in The Underwhere, go to the far right and enter the red door.
  3. Go right, speak to the girl, and then go to the far right by flipping and staying on the left side.
  4. Before entering the door you should flip. Then you can hit the Arrow Block and grab the Super Shroom Shake that appears. Go through the door.
  5. Instead of paying this guy to get you across the river, simply swim to the other side. Go through the red door.
  6. Go to the far right and speak with Queen Jaydes. Choose "Yes" when she asks you to help her.
  7. Go back to the river and fall to the bottom.
  8. Once at the bottom, search for an area with many bubbles coming from it on the ground. Flip and fall down a hole, then go through the door.
  9. Swim right until you reach a block; push it off the ledge.
  10. Swim down to where the block fell and hit a lever.
  11. Climb up the block and pipe until you reach some blocks. Break them, then flip the switch to fill the room with water again.
  12. Swim up and to the right until you hit a dead end. Flip here and go right and off the screen until you reach the next chamber.
  13. Swim right and up until you reach a block with a pipe below it.
  14. Flip and go around the block, then push it off.
  15. Hit the lever on the far right.
  16. Go right and fall, then hit the block to create a ladder.
  17. When under the block, flip and go right to find an off-screen path. Go through the path and into the next room.
  18. Head down the pipe.
  19. Grab all the coins and hit the blocks, then exit the room.
  20. Go through the door on the right.
  21. Jump off the ledge, then use the fountains to climb up to another ledge.
  22. Once you gain Luigi you will need to switch back to Mario. After the switch, you will head right and then flip. Behind the rock you'll find a Long-Last Shake, so grab it.
  23. Go to the far left and flip to find a chest with a Dry Bones card in it.
  24. Use Luigi's super jump to reach the ledge where you entered this room, then go all the way back to the girl we spoke to earlier that was standing on the pipe.
  25. Once on the far left of the room, use Luigi's super jumps to climb the pipes, allowing you to reach the upper level.
  26. Head all the way right, past the Piranha plants, and into the red door.
  27. Go all the way right in this room to find Luvbi.
  28. Head back to the Queen and speak to her.
  29. Once back in Flipside, head to Flopside.
  30. When you get to Nolrem's house, flip and head into the gated area.
  31. Flip and go down the side path, then go down the pipe to the left.
  32. Then, you must head to the far right where you will go down another pipe.
  33. Go left and use Luigi to jump over the wall, then place the Pure Heart into the pillar.
  34. Use the Return Pipe, then go through the final door and into the next chapter.

Chapter 7

Chapter 7-1 A Subterranean Vacation

  1. Go back to Queen Jaydes and speak to her.
  2. Say "Yes" when the Queen asks you to take Luvbi to The Overthere.
  3. Go through the door and hit the star block to complete the stage.

Chapter 7-2 The Sealed Doors Three

  1. Go right and into the door.
  2. Head right and climb up the platforms to the next area.
  3. Hit the ? Block to get a Mushroom, then continue your ascent.
  4. Dodge the hand-enemy, then use the red square transporter to get you to the other side.
  5. Climb more platforms, then use another red square transporter.
  6. Dodge more hands, then hit a ? Block to get a coin. Watch out for the Dark Boos! Boomer or Cudge will make short work of them. Continue the climb upwards.
  7. After getting off of the transporter, you may fall to the right to get a Dark Boo Card out of a chest. Continue climbing.
  8. Get another Mushroom out of a ? Block, then continue left.
  9. Climb up a bit more, then go right.
  10. At the sealed door, use Tippi to "identify" the door, which is actually Dorguy the First.
  11. Answer Dorguy's questions with the following answers: Queen Jaydes, Dorguy the First, and 6 Times.
  12. Enter Dorguy when you finish.
  13. Save here, then head right until you reach a door guarded by three D-Men. Speak to them. Answer "Yes" to their request. Enter the door.
  14. Head right and you'll be forced to fight...

Miniboss: Bowser 2

  1. You can beat Bowser in a variety of ways, all of which are listed below.
  2. You can use Cudge to hammer Bowser when he gets close to you.
  3. You can use Carrie to jump on Bowser.
  4. You can use Boomer to blow him up as you did the first time you encountered Bowser.
  5. After he's beaten, Bowser will rejoin your party.

Chapter 7-2 Continued

  1. Go left and enter the locked door using the key the D-Men just gave you.
  2. Use Bowser to light the torches on the wall, then begin your ascension.
  3. As you climb up, there will be a pipe on the right side, go inside it to get some coins, then exit and continue the climb.
  4. When you get to the top, use Tippi to identify Dorguy the Second.
  5. Answer his questions with the following answers: 3, 2, Blue, 4, Triangles.
  6. Head inside the door.
  7. Go to the far left and enter the door with the hearts on it.
  8. Speak to the first hag you see. Accept her quest.
  9. Speak to the D-Man to get the book, then head back to the hag.
  10. After returning the book, exit the room and use the key to enter the locked door on the right.
  11. You can light the torches using Bowser. Then you must use Luigi's super jumps to get across the chasm.
  12. Flip with Mario to dodge the giant spikes while climbing the stairs.
  13. Light the torches with Bowser again, then use Luigi's super jumps to get to the stairs above.
  14. Flip to dodge more spike balls, then switch to Bowser as your active character. Use Tippi to speak to Dorguy the Third.
  15. Time to fight the boss, Underchomp.

Miniboss: Underchomp

  1. If you switched to Bowser prior to the fight, it will be easy.
  2. Use Thudley and each head of Underchomp should go down in one hit.
  3. After winning, enter Dorguy the Third and get the star block to finish the level.

Chapter 7-3 The Forbidden Apple

  1. Begin by climbing the clouds, notice that each cloud has a number.
  2. Get the ? Blocks for coins and a Super Mushroom, then continue climbing.
  3. When you hit cloud 13, use Luigi's super jump to reach cloud 14.
  4. Once on cloud 14, use another super jump to reach the next cloud directly above.
  5. Jump on the bouncy cloud for a really high boost.
  6. Use two more bouncy clouds on the way up.
  7. Take out the enemies here, then continue right to cloud 27.
  8. At cloud 28, use another bouncy cloud.
  9. Use the moving platform here coupled with a super jump from Luigi to reach cloud #30. Enter the door.
  10. Head right, stomp the Beepboxers, get the ? Blocks, then use the bouncy cloud.
  11. Enter the red door.
  12. Use Thudley to get some apples here, then go back through the red door.
  13. Continue climbing until you reach cloud 37. Flip here to discover a path made of ? Blocks; go down it.
  14. Head down a bit, then use a bouncy cloud to get to cloud 39.
  15. Go left onto cloud 40, then enter the door.
  16. Use the moving platforms to reach a chest, then head right.
  17. Beat the Lakitu, then you must jump on the bouncy cloud to the lower right.
  18. Head right at cloud 48 to reach the next door. Enter it.
  19. Climb up until you reach cloud 53. Flip here, then head right and down a cloud path to a door. Enter the door.
  20. Grab at least one black apple, but do not eat it.
  21. Now head back to cloud 43 back on stair 4 and enter the door.
  22. Head left and feed Peach the black fruit.
  23. Once Peach is on your team, head back to stair 5.
  24. Climb using Luigi, but stay on the left side.
  25. When you reach cloud 54, use Peach to glide over to cloud 55 to the right.
  26. Use three more bouncy clouds to reach the door to stair 6.
  27. Head to the far left, then hit a block to get a Super Mushroom.
  28. Use the moving platforms to reach cloud 62, then continue right.
  29. Use the bouncy cloud past cloud 63 to reach cloud 67.
  30. Hit the blocks for coins, then use the moving platform to reach cloud 68, which has a chest containing a Long-last Shake.
  31. Use the moving platform again to reach the pedestals. Cross them, then use Luigi on the last one to reach the next cloud.
  32. Ascend to cloud 70 and enter the door.
  33. Head left and up a bouncy cloud.
  34. Go right a bit and up another bouncy cloud.
  35. Use Peach to cross the pedestals, then continue up to cloud 74.
  36. Use the moving platform and a super jump from Luigi to reach the next cloud.
  37. Open the chest on the cloud above for a Life Shroom, then continue moving up.
  38. Head left and speak to the cloud to discover that he wants to grow big. If you kept a red apple from earlier, feed it to him and skip the next two steps.
  39. Head left and hit the ! Block to make a pipe appear; go down it.
  40. Head back to cloud 44 and use the nearby bouncy cloud. Enter the door on cloud 46, grab some red fruit, then head back to the young cloud and feed him the fruit.
  41. Bounce on him, then enter the red door on the right.
  42. Glide to the right with Peach, then hit the star block to complete the stage.

Chapter 7-4 A Bone-Chilling Tale

  1. Ascend the clouds with ease, being cautious of the enemies along the way.
  2. When you reach the locked door, fall down using the ? Blocks.
  3. Head through the door between the two pillars.
  4. Save the Nimbi to get the key, then exit.
  5. Climb back up the ? Blocks and enter the locked door from earlier.
  6. Head right, past the locked door, and save if you wish. Continue right until you reach an Arrow Block. Hit and flip to reach a ? Block. Hit it and keep going right.
  7. Melt the ice with Bowser, then head back left and speak with the Nimbi you save to ride the elevator up.
  8. Go right and free more Nimbis, then enter the door.
  9. Continue right, freeing Nimbis, until you free Whibbi. He will give you a key. Now you must go find Rebbi, Blubi, and Yebbi, so head back through the door.
  10. Go left and down the elevator.
  11. Go left and enter the locked door with the key Whibbi gave you.
  12. Head right and hit the ! Block to activate the elevator.
  13. Flip to get to the door behind the large structure, then enter the door.
  14. Go right and fall down the first hole to reach a chest containing an Ultra Shroom Shake.
  15. Climb back up and cross the gap using Peach, then head right.
  16. Help Rebbi, then speak with him to attain the red orb.
  17. Exit this area, then cross the elevator again. Go left this time, using Luigi's super jumps to climb the clouds. Enter the door at the top.
  18. Head right and get the two ? Blocks, then flip and go down the path towards the left side of the cloud.
  19. Get the star from the ? Block, then charge right.
  20. Once on the far right side, flip and go down a path to the left.
  21. Knock on the door and say you are a monster. Get the yellow orb from Yebbi, then leave this sector.
  22. Go back to sector 2.
  23. Go to the far right, then climb up using Luigi.
  24. When you reach the ice, burn it to free Blubi. Speak to him to get the blue orb, then head back to Whibbi.
  25. Go right past Whibbi and get on the pedestal to place the orbs.
  26. Cross the bridge and enter the door.
  27. Head right and then watch a battle unfold.
  28. Head right, using Cudge to fight off the enemies. Climb the stairs and get the ? Block, then Save and enter the door.
  29. Prepare to fight the boss, Bonechill.

Boss: Bonechill

  1. The best way to beat Bonechill is to use Luigi's super jump over and over.
  2. The only place Bonechill takes damage is his head, so don't bother attacking him anywhere else.
  3. Alternatively, you can pick up fallen icicles and throw them at his head with Thoreau, but this strategy is more difficult.
  4. After Bonechill goes down, you will attain the final Pure Heart and beat the chapter.

Chapters 7 and 8 Transition

  1. Head to Flopside.
  2. Enter the gated area in front of Merlon's house and go down the off-screen path.
  3. Go to the far right and place the Pure Heart into the pillar.
  4. Purchase any goods that you may need, then ascend the Flopside tower and enter the door.

Chapter 8

Chapter 8-1 The Impending Darkness

  1. Head to the far right and flip to enter the castle.
  2. Go right, using Cudge on any enemies. When the dark guys that shoot magic appear, jump on them a few times and they'll go down. Enter the door.
  3. Head right and stomp some Goombas.
  4. Climb the stairs and take out the enemies with the boomerangs, continue right, ignoring the door.
  5. Enter the door at the top of the next set of stairs.
  6. Use Fleep on the giant eyes, then continue right.
  7. Use Luigi to reach the door found above you and enter it.
  8. Climb the wall on the right, then use Peach to cross the gap.
  9. Go down the pipe.
  10. Go down this long hallway, taking out any foes with Cudge or a well-place jump. Open the chest to get the key, then exit this room.
  11. Go back through the door to the left, across the gap.
  12. Move right and open the locked door.
  13. Here you can use Bowser to burn all of the enemies in your way. Use Mario on the Gawbuses. Enter the door.
  14. Flip and ascend the stairs. Avoid any enemies to reach the door.
  15. Get the Ultra Shroom out of the ? Block before entering the door.
  16. Use the Save Block, then continue right.
  17. Use Bowser again to light the torches as you did in the earlier room. Light torches 2, 3, and 5 to make steps to the door appear.
  18. Climb the steps and enter the door.
  19. Prepare to fight an old friend for the last time...

Miniboss: O'Chunks 4

  1. Using Bowser's fire is a safe way to fight O'Chunks.
  2. For a quicker fight, use Thudley to stomp on O'Chunks and he'll go down very fast.
  3. Once O'Chunks falls, go right and enter the door.
  4. Get the star block to finish the stage.

Chapter 8-2 The Crash

  1. Head right and take out the Zoing-Oings and the Cursya, then continue right.
  2. Now, you must use Fleep to defeat the giant eyes. Then, go to your right and stomp some Blasterboxers. Enter the door just past the enemies.
  3. Speak to Merlon for a bit, only to find out that he is actually a she and she is Mimi.
  4. After falling down the hole, use Boomer on the crack in the wall to open it further. After his explosion, run through the door on the left.
  5. Flip to get past the fire, then hit the red ! button two times.
