Super Paper Mario
Super Paper Mario is the latest installment in the Paper Mario franchise. One of the few Mario RPGs, it allows the player to switch between 2D and 3D modes.

Story
A giant void appears in the sky, signalling something wrong in the kingdom. Mario is told that Count Bleck and his minions are trying to destroy all of the worlds. This destruction is fueled by the forced marriage between Bowser and Princess Peach, creating the chaos heart. While transported to Flipside, Mario is asked to help stop Bleck. To accomplish this, Mario must collect eight "pure heart" objects to form the purity heart. To find the hearts, Mario must venture to various worlds and face dangerous foes.
Gameplay
Each door represents a chapter in the story. Each is opened by a pure heart. Though you begin the journey with Mario and Tippy, a pixl, other members gradually join your party. The player may only control one character at a time, featuring a unique ability needed to progress through the worlds.
- Princess Peach: Parasol provides floating ability and defense against enemies
- Bowser: Double attack power and fiery blast
- Luigi: Ability to leap massive heights
In addition to the main characters, pixls assist along your travels and provide access to certain areas. Each pixl has an important ability, particularly Tippy. Tippy allows you to see hidden doors and provides information about enemies.
