Ride 'em Cowboys:
The Cowboys won the NFC East in 1971 with a league best 11-3 mark. Then they defeated both the Minnesota Vikings (20-12) and San Francisco 49ers (14-3) to win their second straight NFC title. The team initially struggled as both Staubach and Craig Morton split time at quarterback. Finally, with the team 4-3 at the halfway point of the season, coach Tom Landry settled on Staubach as the starter, and they never lost another game all season.
