Career Highlights
Prior to acting, Buscemi served as a New York City fire fighter for four years. He made the move to acting with the 1985 independent film Tommy's. Prior to mainstream roles, Buscemi appeared in one episode of the classic television show Miami Vice. Buscemi commonly works with The Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino and Adam Sandler. He also directs films and television shows including episodes of The Sopranos and Oz. Highly dedicated to his home town of New York City, Buscemi volunteered immediately following the 2001 9-11 tragedy.
