An iPhone version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is currently in development by THQ Wireless. The game is based on the multi-console version in development by LucasArts. Both games will be released in conjunction on September 16, 2008.¹²

SW: The Force Unleashed Gameplay

The iPhone version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was demoed at E3 2008, showing its multi-touch capabilities. The playable Jedi character automatically moves through a series Star Wars-themed 2D environments, pausing at certain moments to fight.⁴ The player then draws shapes on the screen to use The Force, block blaster fire with the lightsaber and trigger other Jedi powers. For example, drawing a "circle" shape on the screen lifts an enemy with The Force, while drawing a "slash" hurls the enemy in a given direction.¹
