Star Wars The Force Unleashed Darth Vader Boss Fight
There are two Darth Vader boss encounters in Star Wars The Force Unleashed. One takes place towards the end of the Death Star level while the other can be skipped entirely depending on whether the player decides to join Palpatine or fight against him. The outcome of this decision will also dictate which ending the player receives.
During the first fight, do not attempt to use force lighting on Darth Vader as it will have no effect on him. Abilities such as force push, repel, grip and sith saber smash, however, may be particularly useful in this situation. Stun him or down him temporarily to set him up for a combo. Eventually, he will move into the next area after taking a certain amount of damage.
It's best to refrain from jumping on the center platform since Vader will automatically use Force Choke. Instead, keep at a distance and use Force Grip to throw objects at him until he changes his position again. Stay on his back and avoid his charge attacks until a quick time event occurs. Repeat this until the fight is over. The second fight is quite similar to some sections of the first fight only it’s more difficult.1
