Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a 2003 role-playing video game developed by BioWare for the Xbox and PC. The game takes place in the Star Wars universe, and mixes characters and themes of that world with the traditional D&D; gameplay elements present in BioWare's other games, such as Neverwinter Nights.

Story
While the game is set in the Star Wars universe, it takes place 4,000 years prior to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, the first film released in 1977.
A powerful Sith lord named Darth Malak is killing off the Jedi, while forcing others to swear allegiance to him. You begin the game in a Republic ship under attack, and upon escaping, proceed to make your way around the galaxy, traveling to planets and towns, engaging in battles and meeting a variety characters that join your team. You band together with your allies in an attempt to defeat Darth Malak. Throughout the game, you makes various decisions in speech and actions that can determine whether you become a good Jedi or turn to the dark side of the force.
