The Bronx born actress first gained notice by appearing in the Richard Pryor star vehicle Moving, she followed up her success with a role as the romantic lead in the film Mo' Money with Damon Wayans.

In 1995, she appeared in the hit film Clueless with Alicia Silverstone. When the film was adapted for television she reprised her role of Dee for three seasons.

In the years following she made headlines for her popular Playboy pictorial, as well as appearing in the Kanye West Video Alls Fall Down.
