Luxury Stay
If you are looking to stay at an all-inclusive resort, Anse Chastanet is the perfect place. Not only are they well-rated among Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Frommer's and Fodor's, they offer guest a beautiful view, a relaxing atmosphere and all the activities you can imagine. Rooms are "scattered" about the resort, some offering garden views at beach level, while others are "nestled" on the hillside; all amazingly decorated. Unlike many "basic" hotel rooms, the furniture here is all hand-made and every room is stocked full of amenities. There are two restaurants, a casual, "Beach Grill" and two bars for guests. The hotel offers guest tours and excursions at a separate cost, but they are set up on a daily basis and include many of St. Lucia's natural and man-made attractions.
Affordable Stay
If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in the heart of Castries, Stephanie's Hotel is the perfect choice. One of the main attraction, so to say, is the short drive to the St. Lucia Jazz Festivalon Pigeon Island. There are a total of 18 rooms, all basically furnished and provide amenities such as private bathrooms and microwaves. Rates are pretty low-cost, considering the other resorts on the island; singles start just under $50 USD, while quad rooms with kitchenettes are just $100 USD. The hotel is with in a short walking distance to many restaurants, nightlife and shopping areas in the town. Stephanie's seems like a perfect, cheap stay for a family who wants to enjoy is island without paying a fortune.
