Spore Creature Creator Errors

The Spore Creature Creator was released on June 18. A few problems encountered with the software include registering with a valid key, game freezes or a black screen, and painting creatures. The most common problem seems to be a DirectX error message: "Could not create the Graphics Device. Direct X is unavailable. [1002]". Even when updating to the latest version of Direct X, the message still appears. A possible cause of this error is because Spore Creature Creator uses Pixel Shading 2.0, which requires DirectX 9.c, and some graphics cards are incompatible with it.
