Features
The Sony Reader is designed to be ultra portable allowing users to turn up to 7,500 continuous pages on a single charge. The built-in memory combined with the removable memory cards can hold a total of 160 books at one time. Sony uses the e Ink technology to allow for better viewing on the six inch screen, including in direct sunlight. The Reader can also play MP3 and ACC audio files as well as PDF and Microsoft Word files.
Reviews
CNET appreciated the lightweight design and good battery life, but felt the unit was a bit sluggish and lacked support for audio books. PC Magazine also liked the sleek design but was turned off by the slow performance and difficulty navigating the interface.
