Smashing Pumpkins Sues Virgin Records

Rock band Smashing Pumpkins has filed a lawsuit against Virgin Records over the record label's allegedly unauthorized use of the band's name in a recent promotional campaign with Amazon.com and Pepsi Co.

Smashing Pumpkins stated that they felt their artistic integrity was being corrupted since Virgin's involvement in the "Pepsi Stuff" campaign used both their name and music without their consent in order to sell products for a third party.

The Claim
