Sling Media's SlingCatcher is a universal media player for the TV. It enables a TV to show content from the Internet, an external drive, or a Slingbox to stream video from any location. First estimated to be available in mid-2007,1 Sling Media's new release estimate for the SlingCatcher is October 2008. SlingCatcher works with both PC and Mac, although the SlingProjector feature, which allows users to project Internet videos on a TV, is only available for the PC.2
