On Friday, March 7, 2008, the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Ros "took over" the popular video website, YouTube. For one day only, all twelve available slots on the site's homepage were devoted to videos from the band. This event marked the first time YouTube had ever given a musical act sole use of its homepage.

As part of the promotion, Sigur Ros aired their documentary feature, Heima, in its entirety on YouTube.
