Sichuan China Earthquake
Sichuan Province in China, where an 8.0 magnitude earthquake killed more than 69,000 people in May 2008, was hit by a 6.0 quake on August 5, 2008. Chinese officials were referring to the quake, which struck just days before the start of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, as an "aftershock."
