Actor Shia LaBeouf starred in 2007's Transformers, and in the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones film series, 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. His first significant role came in the Disney Channel's Even Stevens. LaBeouf grew up in Los Angeles and has been acting since he was seven years old.
In July of 2008, LaBeouf was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of drunk driving.1

Brief Biography
Born and raised in Los Angeles, LaBeouf decided to be an actor in 1993. He started out as a child stand-up comedian, playing local venues in Pasadena and neighborhoods bordering the downtown Los Angeles area.
LaBeouf later got his first big break on the Disney Channel series Even Stevens. It was there that he met Jon Voight, who later became his mentor. Shia LaBeouf has been named one of the fastest-rising stars in Hollywood by magazines like Entertainment Weekly and Interview magazine.
Recent Arrests
On July 27, 2008, LaBeouf was arrested in Los Angeles for drunk driving. According to an Associated Press report, LaBeouf was involved in an accident that caused injuries. The names of the passengers in the car and the extent of their injuries was unknown following initial reports.1 This is LaBeouf's second arrest, the first being for trespassing in 2007 at a Chicago convenience store.2
