Shawn Adolf
Shawn Adolf was arrested in Denver on August 25, 2008. Police suspect he may have been involved in a plot to assassinate Barack Obama at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Two other men, Tharin Gartrell and Nathan Johnson, were also arrested.1
The three men were being held on gun and drug charges and the seriousness of the "plot" was under investigation. One official stated that there was "no credible threat to the candidate."2

Adolf's Arrest
Shawn Adolf jumped out of his sixth floor hotel window in an attempted escape before being arrested. He broke his ankle in the fall. According to Nathan Johnson, Adolf "didn't believe a black should be the leader of this country."1
