Tweed was modeling and starring on a Canadian series called Thrill of a Lifetime when she was selected to appear in the November 1981 edition of Playboy. Shortly thereafter, she was named the Playmate of the Year in 1982, which led to her being cast as Diana Hunter on the CBS television series Falcon Crest. Tweed later appeared as a regular on Days of Our Lives and 1st & Ten, and in numerous guest starring roles on shows such as The Dukes of Hazzard, Fantasy Island, L.A. Law, 21 Jump Street and Frasier. She has also appeared in over 60 films. After having previously dated Hugh Hefner and actor Andrew Stevens, Tweed began a long-term relationship with Gene Simmons, which has produced two children. The family is currently starring in the A&E reality series Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which first aired in 2006.
