Shahab-3
The Shahab 3 is an Iranian-made surface-to-surface missile based on the North Korea's No-dong missile.1 The Shahab-3 has been analyzed for its potential to strike Israel, Turkey or India, and its ability to carry a nuclear warhead.2

Fraudulent Claims
During Iran's July 2008 "Great Prophet III" missile test, the Shahab-3 became the subject of international scrutiny in the media. While the Islamic Republic claimed to have tested a new version of the weapon with an extended range, analysts determined the claim to be a bluff.3
