Seth Rogen first starred on the short-lived cult TV series Freaks and Geeks in 1999 and Undeclared in 2001, but shot to stardom in his first leading film role as Ben Stone in the 2007 Judd Apatow-directed comedy Knocked Up. Before Knocked Up, Rogen's big screen roles were limited to bit parts (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Donnie Darko) and some more memorable supporting roles (The 40 Year Old Virgin). He hit his stride in the summer of 2007, however, when the success of Knocked Up was immediately followed by Superbad, a film that Rogen wrote, produced and starred in. This established him as a comedy mainstay and preceded roles in Horton Hears a Who! and The Pineapple Express.¹

Green Hornet Movie

Rogen announced in November 2007 that he will take on the comic book character The Green Hornet for his next film. Rogen will star as The Green Hornet and has written the script with longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg. Reportedly, Rogen improved his physique in order to play the title character. Fan reaction to the project has been ambivalent.⁴⁵
