WNBA Career
Seimone Augustus was drafted by the Minnesota Lynx on April 6, 2006.2 During her rookie season she became one of only ten players in league history to average over 20 points per game.2 In 2007, Augustus became the first player since 1997 to finish the season in the top 10 in three shooting categories and points per game.2 Augustus appeared in the All-Star game in each of her first two seasons.
Career Highlights
Augustus was named Rookie of the Year and second team All-WNBA in 2006.2 She was a member of the USA's roster for the 2006 FIBA World Championships, as well as for the Opals World Challenge.2 Following the 2007 season, Augustus finished eighth in the league's Most Valuable Player voting and was named to the All-WNBA second team.2 In 2008, Augustus was named to the U.S. women's Olympic Basketball team.
