NHL Career

Hill was drafted 167th overall in the 1988 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He chose not to join the NHL right away and attended and played for the University of Wisconsin for three years. He made his NHL debut with the Canadiens in 1990 and played three seasons in Montreal before he was selected by the then named Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft. The following year, Hill was traded to the Ottawa Senators. His next trade came in 1997, when he was sent to the Carolina Hurricanes. Hill entered free agency in 2000 and signed with the St. Louis Blues, but was quickly traded back to the Hurricanes in 2001. After another three years with the Hurricanes, Hill signed with the Florida Panthers in 2004. Hill played one season with the New York Islanders starting in 2006, then signed with the Minnesota Wild in 2007.
