Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are a professional football team that plays in the West division of the NFC in the National Football League. They play their home games at Qwest Field in Seattle, Washington. Since their founding in 1976, they have played in the Super Bowl once, losing Super Bowl XL to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2005.

Team Highlights
The team was originally founded by Herman Sarkowsky and Ned Skinner, who were officially granted the franchise in 1974. They played their first season in the NFC West Division in 1976. The following year they moved to the AFC West. The Seahawks made their first post season appearance in 1983, losing the Conference Championship to the Los Angeles Raiders. After moving back to the NFC West in 2002, they made their first Super Bowl appearance in 2005. The Seahawks however were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-10 in Super Bowl XL.
