NHL Career

Walker began his career in the Ontario Hockey League, playing for the Owen Sound Platers. He was then drafted 124th overall in the 1993 NHL Draft by the Vancouver Canucks. He spent one season with the Canucks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Hamilton Canucks before making his NHL debut in 1994. Walker split the next two seasons between the Canucks and the Syracuse Crunch, also in the AHL. On June 26, 1998, Walker was claimed by the Nashville Predators in the NHL Expansion Draft. He spent the better part of seven seasons with the Predators, then was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes on July 18, 2006.
