Silverman was a cast member of Saturday Night Live, The Larry Sanders Show and Greg the Bunny. She was a featured performer on Mr. Show with Bob and David and has voiced characters on Futurama, Crank Yankers and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Silverman dated late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel from 2002 until their breakup in 2008. A 2008 guest appearance on his show, following the Oscars, resulted in the popular viral video "I'm F*cking Matt Damon."

Controversies

Silverman's stand-up has courted controversy many times in her career. She has been publicly reproached by the Media Action Network for Asian Americans and television personality Joe Franklin, who took offense at a joke Silverman told about him in the documentary film The Aristocrats.
