Bristol or Sarah?
Shortly after Sarah Palin announced her pregnancy, rumors that she was covering-up for her 16-year-old daughter Bristol's pregnancy, found their way on to the Internet. A message board thread on Reddit featured a post by a user called "Jibegod" who claimed rumors were circulating in Alaska because Bristol reportedly was out of school because she had mono. The writer also attributes the rumor to the observation that Sarah Palin did not appear to be pregnant in photographs. The person who wrote the post said that his speculation was "based mostly upon hearsay."2 The rumors were still being spread into July of 2008. A comment on AndrewHalcro.com referred to rumors on the Anchorage Daily News Blog that were posted in mid-July.5
Bristol Palin Pregnant
On September 1, 2008, the same day that the 2008 Republican Convention began, the McCain campaign revealed that Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol was five months pregnant. The father is rumored to be Bristol's boyfriend, Levi Krueger, and the couple allegedly plans to marry.6
