Santino Marella

Santino Marella (real name Anthony Carelli) is a professional wrestler with World Wrestling Entertainment. He is currently signed to WWE's Raw Brand. Carelli practiced Judo as a child and won several tournaments. He was also a mixed martial arts fighter in Japan. In 2005, Carelli moved to the United States and began training in Ohio Valley Wrestling.

While in OVW, Carelli was involved in an incident with Jim Cornette, which results in Cornette yelling at and slapping Carelli. As a result, Cornette was removed from is position as a booker and replaced with Paul Heyman.

Carelli made his WWE debut (as Santino Marella) on April 16, 2007 as a fan chosen to wrestle Umaga. Carelli would win the Intercontinental Title from Umaga and go on a run as a face. He would later lose the title and begin an on-screen relationship with Maria. Marella would begin a heel turn as a possessive and jealous boyfriend of Maria. Marella also became a comedic character during his short feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
