Synopsis

Actor and dancing legend Fred Astaire narrates this tale of how Santa Claus got his start. Mickey Rooney voices Kris Kringle, who was left on the doorstep of a family of toymakers as a baby and ultimately brings joy to the previously somber Sombertown, where toys had been outlawed.

Beloved stage, screen and TV actor Mickey Rooney voiced the young Kris Kringle in Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, and would reprise the role three times, twice for Rankin-Bass productions.
