Rudy Fernandez
Rudy Fernandez was an award winning Filipino actor. His film debut came when he was just three years old in Luksang Tagumpay, which was directed by his father Gregorio Fernandez.

Cancer
In 2007, it was revealed that he had been diagnosed with ampullary cancer.1 He underwent treatment in Japan in 2008. After being rushed to a hospital for back pain, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer instead.2
Death
After suffering a seizure on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, he refused to return to Cardinal Santos Memorial Center. He died on the morning of June 7 in his Quezon City home. His remains were taken to the Heritage Memorial Park Crematorium.3
