Röyksopp is an electronic music duo from Norway. Their name comes from the Norwegian word "røyksopp," or "smoke mushroom" which refers to both a puffball mushroom and a mushroom cloud from an atomic explosion. Röyksopp became popular for their creative music videos and melodic dance music. Although the only two official members are Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge, the group is known for featuring guests in their tracks, including Erlend Øye from Kings of Convenience and Karin Dreijer Andersson from The Knife.
