Guide Note

Rock Band is a video musical video game developed by Harmonix for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 2 gaming consoles. The game features special controllers shaped like guitars, drums, and a real microphone. Users play songs using the controllers and attempt to hit the notes as they scroll across the screen. The game is often compared to Guitar Hero, which has a similar guitar controller and play interface.

Downloadable Content

One of the most well-liked features of Rock Band is the large amount of downloadable content the game features. Every week new songs are released for download; these songs can be purchased within the game, and will be added to the set list immediately upon download. Harmonix has anounced that they well offer entire albums that can be purchases as bundle that costs less than the songs downloaded individually. The first such album to be releases was the Judas Priest album Screaming for Vengeance.
