Rochester is a city in Southern New Hampshire. Located in Strafford County, it is the largest coastal city in New Hampshire. Some local attractions include the Rochester Opera House, Rochester Park, and the Rochester Historical Society Museum. Originally, the land where Rochester is located was home to Native American tribes. Once European settlers arrived, the area was plagued by conflict between the two cultures. However, by the mid 18th century, the Native Americans had been driven away completely, possibly by disease.

Rochester is the location of the headquarters for the Hillary Rodham Clinton 2008 presidential campaign.
