Guide Note: Known to race fans across the world as simply "The King", Richard Petty is the all-time wins leader in NASCAR history with 200. Following in the footsteps of his father Lee Petty, who won the inaugural Daytona 500, Richard Petty has won the 500 a record 7 times, and also won a record 7 Sprint Cup Series championships (a record he shares with the late Dale Earnhardt). His son Kyle is also a NASCAR driver.
