The Crime
On February 5, 2006, Rex Ditto and Vincent Puglisi went to Alan Shalleck's house. The men were responding to an ad he placed for spanking partners earlier that year. They intended to rob Shalleck. According to Ditto, Shalleck would not stop spanking Ditto, and so Ditto fought back. Shalleck allegedly grabbed Ditto's neck, and Puglisi stabbed Shalleck. The two stabbed Shelleck over 36 times, and inflicted 83 blunt force injuries on him.1 After killing him, Puglisi and Ditto took money from Shalleck's bank account and stole his jewelry. Shalleck's body was discovered in his driveway, covered with garbage bags, on February 7, 2006.
