Early Life

Rasual Butler was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 23, 1979. He attended high school at Roman Catholic in Pennsylvania. He continued his education at LaSalle University. In 2002, Butler was drafted by the Miami Heat with the fifty-second pick in the 2002 NBA Draft.¹

Pro Career

In his first season with the Heat, Butler averaged 7.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 72 games. Butler was traded to the New Orleans Hornets in 2005. His best season was during the 2006-2007 campaign, when he averaged 10.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 81 games.²
