Rasheed Wallace

Rasheed Wallace is a power forward/center for the Detroit Pistons. He was drafted in the first round by the, then, Washington Bullets in 1995. Before joining the Bullets, Wallace attended the University of North Carolina and played for the North Carolina Tar Heels Men's Basketball team.

Early Years
Rasheed Wallace attended Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia. He was a standout high school player, being voted as USA Today's high school player of the year, and attending the McDonalds All American Game, a game that he was ejected from. He was scouted by major college recruits and decided to go to University of North Carolina, where he was able to lead the Tarheels to the 1995 final four.
NBA Years
Drafted by the Washington Bullets, Wallace was named to the rookie team for All-Star Weekend. He was then traded to the Portland Trailblazers. In Portland he was able to lead the team to the Western Conference Finals in both 1999 and 2000. However he was unable to make the NBA Finals. In 2004, Wallace went to the Detroit Pistons, where he was able to help the team win a championship against the Los Angeles Lakers.
