Rafael Araujo is a Brazilian basketball center for Spartak St. Petersburg. He was the first round draft pick of the Toronto Raptors in 2004 NBA Draft, ranking eighth overall.

NBA Career

Araujo played for the Raptors from 2004 until 2006. He was traded to the Utah Jazz in 2006 and stayed with them for a season. During his NBA career, Araujo averaged 2.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.4 steals and 11.4 minutes per game. He shot 40.5% from the field, 25.0% from the three point area and 67.9% from the free throw line.¹

Araujo's parents are Tadeu and Neuza Araujo. He is married to Cheyenne Araujo and they have a daughter, Tais.¹
