Prince of Persia is a film scheduled for release on Memorial Day weekend in 2010. The movie stars American actor Jake Gyllenhaal and was originally scheduled for release in June of 2009, one week before the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
The movie is based on the popular video game published by Ubisoft in 2003.
Gyllenhaal plays the part of Prince Dastan, who tries to stop an evil warlord from obtaining the "Sands of Time," which will give him the power to rule the world. Arterton will play the part of an exotic princess named Tamina who joins Prince Dastan in his efforts.
