Pocahontas is Disney's 33rd feature animated film. Inspired by Native American history, the film tells of the love story between Pocahontas and English explorer John Smith.

Plot

The story of Pocahontas, the daughter of Chief Powhatan of the Powhatan tribe. She helps Captain John Smith, despite her father's warnings that the white men are dangerous and no one should get near them. The Powhatan tribe catches John Smith and Chief Powhatan prepares to kill him, but Pocahontas saves him from death. Governor Ratcliffe orders the settlers to kill Chief Powhatan, but John Smith pushes him out of the way, being shot instead.
