Picasso Prints Stolen
Two Pablo Picasso prints were stolen from an art museum located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The robbery took place on Thursday, June 12, 2008 by three robbers that were heavily armed. Oil paintings by Emiliano Di Cavalcanti and Lasar Segall were also stolen. The stolen paintings have an estimated value of $612,000.

The Robbery
The robbery took place around noon on June 12, 2008 while the museum was opened to the public. The three robbers overpowered the museum security guards on the second floor and then grabbed the paintings.
In December 2007, Picasso's "Portrait of Suzanne Bloch" and "O Lavrador de Cafe" by Candido Portinari were stolen from the same museum. The paintings were later found wrapped in plastic and leaning against a wall in a house.
