The PGA Championship is the last of the four major men's professional golf championships held each year. It is typically held in the second weekend of August and follows The Masters, the U.S. Open and the British Open. The winner receives the Wanamaker Trophy.

The first ever PGA Championship was held in 1916 and was originally a match play event before changing to stroke play in 1958. Winning the PGA Championship comes with some heavy perks for non-established golfers. PGA Champions automatically receive invites to play in The Masters, U.S. Open and British Open for the following five years. The winners also do not have to qualify for the PGA Championship ever again and receive membership to the PGA Tour for five seasons.
