Pfizer Pulls Jarvik Ad - Pfizer announced on February 25, 2008 that it is pulling the Lipitor ad featuring Robert Jarvik, the creator of the Jarvik artificial heart. This move comes after controversy and a congressional hearing dealing with "misconceptions" from the ads, which use Jarvik's name recognition to promote the product. The main issue stems from the impression that Jarvik is giving medical advice, and that he is not a practicing physician. The House Energy and Commerce Committee is still moving forward with it's investigation.
