Peter Morgan

Peter Morgan is a British playwright and screenwriter. He is most known for receiving an Academy Award nomination for the 2006 film The Queen starring Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II. In the past few years, Morgan has found much success with The Queen, as well as with his screenplays for The Last King of Scotland and The Other Boleyn Girl. He also wrote the original stage play and screenplay adaptation for Frost/Nixon which Universal Studios and director Ron Howard have made into a film for a June 30, 2008 release date. In March 2008, it was announced that he signed a multi-million dollar deal with Dreamworks Pictures for his original screenplay Hereafter.
