Story
At the conclusion of 2007's Penumbra: Overture Philip, the main protagonist, is left knocked out in a dark cell. When he awakens, he makes his way out of prison, and climbs through an air vent into the Archaic Elevated Caste facility. As he explores the new environment, Philip discovers that he is infected with a strange virus, the result of dangerous experimentation conducted at the facility. However, when Philip reaches one of the facility's networked computers, he makes contact with a female scientist named Annabel Swanson, who offers to cure Philip's worsening condition if he will save her. Philip then sets out to rescue Swanson, fight off the mutated “infected” in the facility, and escape the horror.
