Peer to Peer Lending utilizes the technology of social media to mitigate personal, business, and education loans between two parties. Unlike standard loans from an institution to a business or individual, the interest rate can be negotiated or bid upon. Though the practice has yet to be embraced by mainstream banks and institutions, a number of P2P lending startup businesses emerged over last few years.
